The Minister for Communications and Information Technology has today announced that Telecom has won the bulk of the $1.35Bn Ultra Fast Broadband contract.  Rural Connect believes that Mr Joyce has achieved a great deal for the taxpayer but that this has come at a real future cost to broadband users and those companies that have already invested millions of dollars to lay fibre cable and offer services that competed with Telecom.  Read the Minister's press release below.
