Community led rural broadband provisioning

A grant of $12.8m has been sought for wireless internet from the Ministry of Economic Development.  This represent a move towards local community groups seizing the opportunity to make rural broadband happen themselves rather than waiting for others to provide the service.  Read the Gisborne Herald article and let us know if you are interested in this being done in Franklin too!

I think Broadband is a need now it is just most of NZ are unaware of how th erest of th eworld do business, we need this asap and if we wait for someone else it will never be done we need to do it ourselves!
